Tibetan Heart Yoga is a Hatha yoga practice that works from the inside with prana and thoughts and on the outside with physical movement. Working these two principle's together with wisdom can quickly bring an end to suffering in this lifetime. The key is that we do this not only for our own happiness, but for the happiness of other's as well. It is the 'how' in 'how we love ourselves'.
There are a total of eight Tibetan Heart Yoga series and Julie will be working with series 4 which focuses on the 5 vayus, or the winds of the subtle body. These 5 vayus are associated with the purification of all mental afflictions. Learn to access and move these 5 vayus to come in contact with the five Buddha Families inside of yourself.
Julie Upton has completed the Asian Classic Institute course of study in both the open and advanced teachings with her teachers Geshe Michael Roach, Lama Christie McNally and Lama Sumati Marut. She has been teaching yoga, Buddhism and meditation in the US and abroad since 2006 and teaches with a unique and enthusiastic approach to life and the end of suffering for all sentient beings.
