Investors are being offered a chance to find out more about the investment opportunities available in Orlando, Florida where property prices have tumbled by as much as 50% over the past five years.

Local business couple Jeff Annal & Mairi Rodger are inviting interested investors to attend a free seminar on Thursday 23rd June 2011 in the Titan Enterprise Centre, Clydebank (next to Clydebank College) from 7pm to 9pm.

They will be talking about buy-to-let opportunities in the sunshine state where buyers can now pick up a refurbished one bedroom condo for as little as £35,000 or a villa for £99,000.

Prices have fallen dramatically in the area in as a result of the global recession but experts are predicting that the market has now hit rock bottom providing canny investors the opportunity for growth.

Jeff said: “Florida was one of the first markets to be hit by the property crash and is now one of the first places to show signs of promise with prices now starting to stabilise, if you buy in the right area.

“The Florida property market is based on such strong fundamentals - fantastic weather, a great lifestyle, good schools, beautiful beaches and none of this has changed because of the financial crisis.

“It has a good buy-to-let market as it is the second largest university state in America and is a popular conference destination because of the facilities it offers and has the obvious tourist attractions and theme parks. As a result it has a huge pipeline of people wanting to rent properties who are not interested in buying.”

Jeff, who has been advising clients on overseas property for over 5 years, will also be talking about a new investment fund, which enables people to invest in the market without buying a property outright which may be suitable for experienced property investors.

Jeff said “America is three to four years ahead of us economically and repossessions are expected to reach an all time high this year. All the signs indicate that property prices in Orlando will start to increase. We believe we have a window of opportunity, therefore, to offer properties to investors to take advantage of this.”

A number of established developments have already been identified for property purchase in gated communities which are rented to professionals working in the vicinity rather than accommodating seasonal tourist visitors. The developments include Manhattan, The Registry, The Madison, Trade Winds, Villa Medici and Plantation Park.
