Once in Montreal, participants will be able to venture out on their own, or stay with a group, and enjoy some of the many attractions the city has to offer.
They can choose to roll the dice at Casino de Montreal, indulge at some of the city's fine restaurants, explore the downtown district - including the popular Sainte Catherine's Street, stay below the surface in the underground city, or take in a pro soccer match featuring our local team, the New England Revolution. There's guaranteed to be something for everyone to enjoy!*
Boasting a rich and colorful history, Montreal is truly unique in North America for its special blend of urban moderism and discreet charm inspired by the cultural distinctiveness of Quebec.
Le Westin Montreal hotel, which features state-of-the-art guest rooms, an indoor, glass-bottomed hotel, and complimentary wi-fi, is located at the corner of Sainte Antoine and Sainte Pierre Streets in Old Montreal and is linked with the Palais des Congres and the underground city, the largest underground complex in the world. The underground city features over 200 restaurants, 1,700 boutiques, 30 movie theatres and several museums. Check out the hotel's official website at http://www.westinmontreal.com/.
Casino de Montreal offers a wide range of games, including slot machines, keno, poker, blackjack, baccarat and roulette. It also features several restaurants and bars. The casino, including all of its establishments, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but is restricted to persons age 18 and over only. Check out their official website at http://www.casinosduquebec.com/montreal.
St. Catherines's Street is the heart and soul of downtown Montreal. Spanning more than nine miles from East to West, it's loved by Montreal locals and tourists alike. The street features just about everything, including name-brand stores, malls, boutiques, restaurants and nightclubs. Sainte Caterine's Street is also home to the Place Des Arts, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles.
The Montreal Impact professional soccer club is the newest team to join Major League Soccer (MLS), with this being their inaugural season. They will be hosting the New England Revolution in a match at Saputo Stadium in Montreal on Wednesday night. If you're a sports fan, this may be the place to be. You may also choose to visit the Olympic Stadium complex, past home of Major League Baseball's Expos, and the 1976 Olympic Games, or the Bell Centre, where the Canadiens play.
