Hello Everyone,

God is good, is He not? If we tried to count all His blessings, we would be at it for quite some time. I am now in my second year of attending Word of Life Bible Institute (BI) in upstate New York. God has given me huge blessings through my experiences here. I have had the chance to become involved in so many different things including ministry on campus, in New York City and in Philadelphia and through counseling teens during summer camp and snow camp. The BI has certainly been helping me grow into the young woman He wants me to be and has helped broaden my horizons. Word of Life is heavily involved in every aspect of ministry and outreach. For example, this Fall I am spending weekends in Springfield, Massachusetts working with inner city youth there in a youth program called "The Lion's Den." Another opportunity I have been given is a chance to go on a mission trip this Spring to Hungary to spread the Gospel there, to minister to the needy, and to give my time and resources spreading the love of Christ. It is believed that only one third of the population in Hungary even claims a religion. Of that third about half is Roman Catholic, about four percent are Lutheran and twenty percent is “other” Protestant,
Matthew 28:19-20 says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." This is "The Great Commission." Jesus Christ's command to His children is for them to go out into the world and evangelize, disciple, and lead. Through this mission trip opportunity, which I have been blessed with, I will be doing this with a team of about fifty other BI students and faculty. But there are two very vital parts involved in ministries such as this: the "goer", myself, and the "sender", you. One cannot work without the other; ergo, I cannot get the job done without you!

Part of the experience of this trip is meeting the challenge of raising my own support, both financially and in prayer. Please take some time to pray and think about how God could use you in this area of ministry. If God leads you to help equip this ministry financially, please remember that your investment with be used in helping reach the people of Hungary with the Gospel! Your prayers are also so very much appreciated. I have been asked to raise a total of $1,957 for this mission trip. The first $957 is needed by December 12th and the grand total is needed by February 9th. I understand money may be tight and that the current economic situation is bleak, but if God is truly leading you to help me, I am confident that He will provide. Along with this letter is a support slip. If God is leading you to support me, please fill it out as soon as you can and return it to me. This is tax deductible, if you choose to send a gift Word of Life will send you a deductible receipt. Simply fill out the support slip and mail it back or you may go online and make your donation that way as well.
