This workshop is designed to introduce executive management
and IT professionals on how lean manufacturing and lean administration tools
are being successfully applied to hardware configuration, support practices,
and programming and testing processes to eliminate non-value added activity to increase efficiency and productivity.
Participants will take away an understanding and example of the following:
Lean IT (Infrastructure)
* Technology’s role in complexity reduction
* Applying 5S to IT infrastructure
* Virtual 5S
Lean Software Development
* What is lean software development
* How “Waterfall” and “Agile” methodologies complement one another
* Value-Stream-Mapping (VSM) and IT process
* Examples of wasteful and costly software development practices
* Software development and visual management tools
Guest Speaker: Christopher D’Marco
Christopher D'Marco serves as the Co-Managing Member of Change and Response Strategies, LLC, which provides organization development consulting services and customized training programs to public, private, engineering, manufacturing, R&D, non-profit and healthcare organizations.
A member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the Organization Development Network, the American Society of Training and Development, The Lean Enterprise Institute, Teach Peace Foundation, Turnaround Management Association, BPeace and the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce, Christopher has over twenty years of experience working within diverse and multi-constituent environments and is known for his practical and collaborative approach to designing and implementing organization and staff development strategies facilitating interactive training programs.
