A Moon Ceremony is designed to help us come into balance with the Earth's natural rhythms and the rhythms of our lives. The Full Moon is a time for the clearing of old energies and releasing what no longer serves us.

The moon exerts an enormous influence on our lives and the life of our planet. We have long since forgotten our connection to the earth and nature. The Full Moon Ceremony is designed to awaken those memories that lie within all of us. All the elements of nature - lightening, the wind, water, fire and frost, were all regarded with awe as spiritual powers by the Native Americans. Each element of nature, from the tree to the grizzly bear was treated with reverence. When connected to our higher consciousness, there is no separation between the universe within and the universe outside of each of us. They are both part of the great Oneness of all life.

The Full Moon Ceremony follows in the tradition of the Medicine Wheel, a sacred symbol used by the Plains Indians and others to represent all knowledge of the universe as it honors Mother Earth, the Moon and the Spirit Keepers of the Four Directions. It also follows in the tradition of animal medicine.
