Act of Congress returns to Workplay for the release of "Worth Fighting For"

Combining hook laden melodies, compelling songwriting, and intelligent instrumentation that's rapidly gathering attention throughout the country, Act of Congress' sound is grounded, approachable and technically masterful. The band has performed for the likes of Paste Online, XM radio, SXSW, Disney, NPR, and Billboard. They have opened Live Nation VIP areas for John Mayer, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Edwin McCain, and featured on the nationally syndicated Woodsongs Radio on XM radio. Act of Congress have previously won the IMWS Disc Makers Grand Prize and Colgate Country Showdown regional’s. In 2011, AOC performed their original music with four regional symphonies including the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, backed up Country Music star Sara Evans, and were voted one of the must see acts of Alabama. AOC also was also featured in the prestigious 2011 year of Alabama Music. Their licensing catalog includes Showtime, Google, and various local affiliates of NPR, NBC, and FOX.
