Geomium

We think Geomium might well be on to something here - the idea of an app that provides local information quickly and easily with a "friend locator" and map built right in hasn't quite been achieved elsewhere yet.

Geomium has a strong platform to challenge the revenue currently channeled to check-in service of the moment, Foursquare.

It lets users connect with friends, but it also emphasises meeting new people and throws in venue data such as bars, restaurants, etc., as well as local deals and events — all with a focus on real time.
